Marketing Coordinator (Executive Team)

The BCAMA is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, action-oriented marketing coordinator to support the executive team members of our board.  Primarily supporting the President and President-Elect, you will meet with our President or President-Elect on a regular basis to receive, discuss and provide updates on your projects. 

This coordinator role will help you acquire marketing skills, broaden your marketing  network and provide you with knowledge of how marketing strategies and tactics are developed. You will also gain broad knowledge in how a non-for-profit association and Board are run.

Number of positions: 1


Responsibilities will vary based on time of year and changing priorities:

  • Collect and/or analyze quantitative and qualitative data 
  • Perform survey and research assignments
  • Support the executive team in administrative tasks
  • Assist in marketing and advertising activities (when support needed on MarComm or Event teams)
  • Prepare presentations
  • Support our Administrative Office in their duties when needed



  • Passion for the marketing industry 
  • Current (or previous) enrollment in a marketing related education
  • Strong desire to learn with a professional drive 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Ability to work remotely/virtually with own computer


Bonus Requirements:

  • Familiarity with marketing software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google)
  • Basic photography, image and video editing, or graphic design skills


Your Time Commitment: 

  • 4 hours/week (July & August are slower than other months and will most likely require less time commitment)
  • Commit to keeping up with Board correspondence by checking and responding to email at least every 48 hours (except while traveling or on vacation – remember to turn your out of office on)
  • 1 year term
