Linda Young kickstarted her career getting paid to be nosy and uncovering stories as a TV researcher and producer at Channel NewsAsia. Her interest in consumer behaviour led her to Nielsen, where she managed global clients’ consumer, product and brand insights. Riding the wave of what makes people tick, Linda was intrigued by the often-regarded-taboo topic of money. She explored gaming behaviour as Team Lead, Research at the BC Lottery Corporation before delving into consumer finances as Director, Research and Products at Coast Capital Savings.
Today, Linda is the founder of ponderpickle, a consultancy firm based in Vancouver. Her extensive background in research and analytics, product development and corporate strategy allows her to work with clients in various industries to develop insights-driven strategic plans and product innovations.
While her career has allowed Linda to connect the dots of consumer behaviour to design products and corporate strategies, she considers her most rewarding work to be seeing firsthand the power of people coming together to find common ground, generate ideas, and build real business solutions and outcomes.
