John is the CTO of Allen & Overy, one of the world’s leading and most innovative law firms. Previously, John was CTO and Chief Architect at the Financial Times, Dow Jones, BBC News and Sport and TalkTalk. As CTO of the Financial Times he oversaw many of the technology and cultural changes that drove the successful digital transformation of the FT as well as being Chief Architect of BBC iPlayer which revolutionised catch-up television. John is a technologist focused on realising the value of technology to empower great products through technology, design, strategy and delivery.
John has worked with a number of high profile B2C and B2B global brands, both building their digital footprint and establishing and adapting their products as they have gone through some genuinely disruptive challenges. With a focus on shaping and understanding customer interactions he will cover the way technology complements and builds great services that have a great customer experience.
