Hayley Woodin is Business in Vancouver‘s Executive Editor. She leads BIV‘s magazine portfolio, and has contributed extensively to BIV‘s print and digital journalism as a reporter and editor since 2016.
Hayley co-hosts and co-produces BIV Today – B.C.’s only daily business podcast – and appears weekly on Global News Morning. She also contributes to BBC Radio’s Business Matters program as the show’s Western Canada contributor.
In 2018, Hayley was one of three journalists in Canada selected as Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada media fellows. She spent her fellowship studying Canadian trade opportunities in Southeast Asia. In 2017, she was one of 20 journalists from around the world selected to study at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s inaugural investigative journalism intensive. Prior to joining the team at BIV, Hayley spent years working in media relations and marketing.
Hayley is a regular emcee and moderator at industry, community and charitable functions. Born and raised in Greater Vancouver, she has served her community as a Rotarian, and as an advisory committee member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Company of Young Professionals and Leaders of Tomorrow programs. She currently chairs Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s journalism program advisory committee and serves as a director of the White Rock Youth Ambassador Program.
