A veteran of the publishing industry, Dee Dhaliwal’s many years of experience began in London, England. Her move to Vancouver in 1995 brought her to the North Shore News as Manager, Human Resources.
Dee is currently the GM/Publisher of Western Living and Vancouver Magazine. She has also served as Publisher of The Vancouver Courier, Westender, VITA and VitaminDaily.com and was the launch Publisher of The Growler and The Alchemist.
Her previous experience includes stints in HR/Promotions/Marketing and Sales.
Dee is known as much or more for her community contributions.
Her involvements include serving as Chair, North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and Director, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and serving in roles with the BC Chamber of Commerce, The Coho Society, PCTIA and The Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation.
Her fundraising and volunteer efforts have benefited Lions Gate Hospital, Family Services of the North Shore, Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, Artists for Kids, Harvest Project and Mulgrave School. She served as Chair of the gala fundraising committee that raised $14,000,000 to build a new ER and worked to help raise $28,000,000 for the Hope centre to treat mental health and addictions on the North Shore.
Dee is currently serving on the Board of Vancouver Community College and is the President of Think Equal BC.
