Alexander Izzo has spent 20 years in marketing at IBM and is currently a Campaign Strategist on IBM’s Leadership Agenda — with focus on the IBM Natural Resources Solution Centre as well as Finance and Insurance for Canada. His focus has been on developing industry-specific marketing campaign strategies using traditional and new media routes to clients. He plays a critical role in the development and deployment of data-driven and analytical campaign strategies of client cohorts to achieve revenue plans. Supported by Analytics and IBM Watson, Alexander provides actionable insights based on understanding market dynamics, client buying behaviour, segmentation and account prioritization to grow revenue. This included revenue and business expansion/growth associated with Cloud, Big Data & Analytics, Mobile and Social categories across New Client, Cross Sell/Upsell and Retention/Renew cohort buying segments and strategies. Prior to this, Alexander has had roles in marketing supporting IBM in Enterprise Canada, Mobility, Application Management, Analytics, Government and Healthcare industries.
Big into marketing, Alexander has been leading the IBM Leadership Agenda program, focusing on our IBM’s Global Services Solution offerings and IoT. Alexander volunteers his time as a Program Board member and mentor with the BBOT Access program and as a Coach in hockey, soccer and field hockey. When not working or coaching, he enjoys golfing and snowboarding and he currently spends most of his time with his two kids.
Alexander is a graduate of York University, with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies, focusing on The Rise of Geographic Information Systems in Business Applications.
