Marketing Event Will Explore “The Deeper Why?”

April 17, 2018

VISION Conference To Get to Roots of Modern Marketing

VANCOUVER, BC (April 17, 2018) – In 2018, marketers are overwhelmed with choice, demands and expectations. How does one focus on what matters? That question, and the answers it evokes, will be discussed in detail at this year’s VISION 2018 marketing conference, being held at the BMO Theatre Centre Goldcorp Stage, 162 West 1st Avenue in Olympic Village on May 10, 2018.

The challenge for marketers is how to have an impact on their audience and deliver meaningful results for their organization, in a fast-paced, tactics-obsessed world. The keynote speaker at the event is internationally known, London-based marketing thought-leader Rory Sutherland, Vice Chair of Ogilvy & Mather Group and TED Talks speaker with millions of online views. His talk for VISION on the Quest for the Deeper Why will aim to get to the heart of the “Why” behind human behaviour and how this relates to marketing. Hear from Rory about his VISION 2018 presentation here.

VISION 2018 will give marketers and entrepreneurs the space to consider the Why that drives them, their organization and their audience, in addition to the elements that go into their role as a marketer, such as teaming, technology and leadership.

Other speakers at this one-day event will be:

  • Mo Dhaliwal, Director of Strategy at Skyrocket
  • John Ounpuu, Co-founder and Principal at Modern Craft
  • Adam Collins, VP of Strategy at Cossette
  • Jurgen Watts, Global Digital Marketing Manager at Arc’teryx
  • Sarah Dickinson, Founder and Organizational Designer at THNK
  • Erin Cooper, VP Company Programs at THNK
  • Stanley Lai, Design Director of Domain7
  • Hayley Woodin, Reporter at Business in Vancouver

“VISION 2018 is an immersive experience filled with speakers and workshops to challenge, inspire and test the limits of your brain plasticity,” said Mo Dhaliwal, Director of VISION. “It’s an exercise in ‘divergence’ that will result in better ideas going forward. Attendees will leave with new mindsets, broader perspectives, and effective tools to apply to their work today and in the future.”

VISION 2018 runs from 8:30 am to 5 pm on May 10th, with cocktails and networking until 6 pm. Tickets are available here.
