VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – It was a celebratory night complete with cocktail dresses and bow ties for the 46th annual BCAMA Marketer of the Year Awards at the Westin Bayshore Hotel on October 19, 2016. The gala – emceed by local radio host Karen Khunkhun and Global BC senior meteorologist Kristi Gordon – is considered one of the largest networking events in Vancouver for top marketing professionals. More than 300 guests celebrated outstanding marketing strategy, innovation, and achievements in the province of British Columbia.
The spotlight of the evening was on BCAA, who won the esteemed “Marketer of the Year” award for 2016. BCAA received the coveted award in recognition of successfully bringing its marketing team together into a cohesive powerhouse, drilling down into their research, making some hard decisions about how they operated and subsequently making fundamental changes. Not only did BCAA have a big vision for the evening, but they also awarded each attendee with free BCAA membership for a year.
Achievements in BC’s marketing industry were also recognized through the second annual Marketing Excellence Awards at last night’s event. Winners in each category represent the top marketers in the industry and were selected by an independent panel of judges.
