BCAMA MARKETER OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2026-2027
Submission Guidelines
1. Program structure
BCAMA will accept entries in eight campaign categories: Brand Building Excellence; Growth & Performance Marketing; Integrated Marketing Campaign; Purpose & Community Impact; Creative Excellence; Customer Experience & Engagement; Small Budget, Big Impact; and Marketing Excellence at Scale.
Marketer of the Year is the ninth overall award and Best of Show honour. It is not a separate entry category. It is selected from the winners of the eight entered categories.
A campaign may be entered in more than one category. Each category requires a separate entry and entry fee.
If the same campaign wins more than one category, it will appear only once in the final Marketer of the Year consideration.
A nomination is not required to submit an entry. A nomination does not constitute an award entry and a nominated organization or campaign must still complete the award submission and pay the applicable entry fee by the submission deadline.

3. Eligibility
Eligible campaigns must have been substantially in market during the eligibility period. Campaigns that began before the eligibility period may still be eligible where significant campaign activity and measurable results occurred during the eligibility period. Entrants must have sufficient results available at the time of submission to demonstrate the campaign’s impact.
Entries must have a meaningful connection to British Columbia. A campaign is eligible where at least one of the following applies: the organization or client is based in B.C. or has a significant B.C. presence; the campaign was led or substantially developed by a B.C.-based marketing team, agency or practitioner; B.C. was a significant audience, market or community for the campaign; or a substantial portion of the campaign’s execution or impact took place in B.C.
The campaign does not need to be exclusively focused on B.C. and may have regional, national or international reach. Entrants are to provide a short explanation of the B.C. connection. BCAMA reserves the right to determine eligibility where the connection to British Columbia is unclear. Eligible entrant types include corporations, small and mid-sized businesses, startups, non-profit organizations, charities, government organizations and agencies, subject to the category requirements.
To receive the Non-Profit, Charity, or Government entry rate ($100 + 5% GST), please provide your official non profit registration or organization ID Number in the entry form. Please use the discount code: moynpdis2026 when checking out.
Agency and client work
Agencies may submit eligible client work provided they have the client’s authorization to enter the campaign and accurately identify the client, brand and contributing partners. Agencies may also enter their own marketing work where it otherwise meets the category and eligibility requirements. BCAMA will not accept duplicate entries for the same campaign in the same category from both the client and agency. If duplicates are identified, BCAMA will contact the parties and retain one authorized entry.
Student eligibility
The student rate is available to an individual currently enrolled at a recognized B.C. post-secondary institution, such as BCIT, UBC or Capilano University, where the submitted work was created primarily as part of their studies, a student organization or a student-led project. Professional client work completed outside that context should use the applicable standard or non-profit/government rate.
To receive the student entry rate ($50+ 5% GST), please provide your official post-secondary student ID Number in the entry form. Please use the discount code: moystdis2026 when checking out.
Campaign investment thresholds
Small Budget, Big Impact is limited to campaigns with total campaign investment below $50,000. Marketing Excellence at Scale is limited to campaigns with total campaign investment of $50,000 or more.
For this purpose, campaign investment means the external costs required to develop and deliver the campaign, including media, agency fees, creative and production, technology, events and other paid execution costs. Internal staff salaries and normal ongoing operating costs are excluded unless specifically incurred for the campaign.
