We’ll also discuss how psychology plays a big role in the choices your customers make, and how you can integrate that into your strategies.

Krista Brown has a diverse background in understanding customer needs to inform strategic marketing programs. She has worked for a diverse mix of organizations, from a start-up (Enquiro) to a government Crown Corporation (BC Lottery Corp), and most recently as Manager of Member Insights at Coast Capital Savings.

As the former Chair of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association’s BC Chapter she is an advocate for data-driven decision making.



Kevin Kinghorn
Vice President, Marketing
Vancouver Canucks


Kevin leads marketing and digital for the Vancouver Canucks Organization. He directs overall digital strategy across multiple business units including sales, service and marketing. Kevin’s team manages web, social and mobile platforms, as well as the collection and analysis of consumer data with the end goal of providing a better fan experience across all touchpoints. Kevin has a background in journalism and began his career producing and managing online content.


Graeme McLaughlin
Conversion Optimization Consultant


Graeme is an independent consultant, focused on conversion research and optimization. His recent experience includes Smartsheet, MEC, Kal Tire & Vega.  He loves working with e-commerce and product companies to uncover the biggest opportunities to increase conversions, whether it’s sales, leads or signups.


Matt St. John
Head of Digital Intelligence

Matt St. John is on the senior leadership team in ecommerce at Best Buy Canada, and leads their Digital Intelligence function.  His team is responsible for insights, dashboards and analytics products, optimization and audiences, as well as performance marketing initiatives.  Matt has over 14 years analytics experience working at leading brands such as Full Tilt Poker, lululemon athletica, and now Best Buy Canada. Matt graduated from Carleton University with a degree in Business and MIS, and an Executive MBA from SFU.
