The BCAMA Board of Directors is made up of a group of industry experts who volunteer their time to make sure the association runs smoothly. BCAMA board members bring dedication and expertise to our organization, and we are so grateful for their contributions to our community and culture.

Executive Team

Andrew Sharpe - President, BCAMA
Andrew Sharpe

Andrew is the Founder and Chief Storytelling Officer for BRANDSPANK Retailer Marketing — a retail consultancy and marketing agency that works with clients to transform established retailers into modern brands.

Andrew is a retail marketing thought leader, regularly contributing to influential sites such as Retail Customer Experience. He’s also been a regular on-air guest on both CBC and Global News, for retail and marketing related topics.

For over 20 years, Andrew has been instrumental in developing brand strategies and creating compelling stories for dozens of regional, national and international retail organizations. Prior to launching his own agency, Andrew also exercised the other side of his brain as a freelance copywriter for almost 5 years at various creative boutiques and multi-national agencies throughout the city.

Christian Westin

Christian is a marketing leader and Board Member at Langara College, helping guide the Experiential Learning and Careers in Marketing group.

He lead the effort to bring TEDx to Langara, successfully organizing a locally star-studded speaker lineup including former Vancouver mayor Sam Sullivan, Dragon’s Den success story Doug Burgoyne, and Terry McBridge, CEO of YYoga.

Neal Chaudhary

Neal Chaudhary, MBA is a Partner at Deloitte with over 19 years of experience in Finance and Information Technology. He is the National Co-Leader for Deloitte’s Technology Advisory Practice in Canada and helps his clients make the most out of their technology investments. His extensive experience with Retail, E-commerce, POS, Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and Enterprise Resource Planning has helped companies solve complex business problems; from removing data silos and increased automation to helping global brands implement Omni-Channel retail solutions. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Kim Breakell Mech - Immediate Past President, BCAMA

Kim is a seasoned marketer and has enjoyed more than 25 years in B2C and B2B marketing throughout North America and globally on both the client side and agency side. She has spent the past 2 years as the President of the BCAMA, guiding a talented board through a restructuring and was the catalyst behind the merger with the Association of Integrated Marketers (AIM). Prior to that, she was the Director, Senior Executive Program.

Her marketing experience spans the financial services sector (Central 1 & HSBC Bank Canada); telecommunications (Stentor Resource Centre & Bell Canada); technology (Central 1, Eyeball Networks & Cinax Designs); tourism (Destination Canada & Air Canada) and package goods (Alberto Culver, Thomas J Lipton), where she combined her marketing experience and business acumen across a wide range of businesses.

Ryan Hoye - Director, IT, BCAMA

Director, IT

Ryan Hoye is an information technologist with the Vancouver Club. He understands the technological process in a business or operation, and helps organizations visualize their technological future and implement it to make it a reality.

Ryan is focused mostly on the integration of Apple products into businesses to make them leaner and more efficient. He has experience in bringing the state of the art from ten, twenty, and sometimes thirty years ago, into the present.

Duygu (Dee) Unal - Director, Marketing Communications, BCAMA
Duygu (Dee) Unal
Director, Marketing Communications

Dee works as a Marketing Consultant at MatchBox, a Vancouver based professional services company. She has over 15 years of B2B and B2C communications experience gained through living and working in global markets including EMEA and Southeast Asia.

Aside from her global marketing experience and technical know-how, she excels at creating  successful business opportunities and revenue-enhancing partnerships in multicultural, competitive, and fast paced environments.

Previously, Dee was the Regional Marketing Manager for Earls Restaurants responsible from the brand’s operations in USA and Eastern Canada. Her diverse industry experience includes roles such as Head of Marketing & PR and Assistant Director of Regional Marketing at Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Michelle Cunningham - Director of Business Development, BCAMA

Director of Business Development

Michelle’s career started as part of a startup: As its first employee, she was part of the accelerated growth which saw the company expand from a 3-person start-up to its eventual acquisition by CBS Interactive in 2011, and into one of the largest media companies in North America. She now leads the Retail Vertical for the Enterprise Client Development Division and innovates products in the growing programmatic media space.

Michelle has never allowed her job description to define her; she’s always up for a challenge. She thrives on completing projects and has consistently demonstrated a willingness to go above and beyond when needed.

Michelle stays immersed in the latest digital marketing and advertising innovations and will ensure that BC market continues to be informed and educated on the latest topics in the marketing industry.

Linda DeRuiter - Director of Digital Marketing, BCAMA

Linda is a Digital Marketing Specialist at CREW Marketing Partners where she helps brands put together the best digital marketing strategy. On any given day she can be found setting up an online ad or email campaign, launching a website, optimizing content for search engines or reporting on analytics. She has almost a decade of digital marketing experience across agencies and in-house. At BCAMA, she will be leading the digital marketing strategy and execution to help build and grow BCAMA’s digital presence.

Jordan Eshpeter - Director, Education Series, BCAMA

Director, Education Series

Jordan is Director of Strategy at Invoke, a leading digital product design and development agency. He helps guide startup and enterprise companies alike to discover and create new exchanges of value with customers.

In his spare time, Jordan fosters a forward-looking curiosity, frequently writing and speaking on futurism’s role in technology and business strategies. With the BCAMA, Jordan builds learning programs to inspire today’s marketer to become tomorrow’s marketer.

Jon Malach - Director, Marketing Innovation Experiential Conference, BCAMA

As the CEO of, Jon is helping brands to tell stories online through native advertorial content and video. He has embraced out-of-the-box approaches to campaign design; he was early to employ both Augmented and Virtual Reality as mediums for online storytelling and onsite activations.

He leads the BCAMA experiential marketing event “MIX”, and sees it as a strategic opportunity to further harvest early adopters who push the limits of both technology and creativity to deliver truly immersive brand experiences.

Jon is an avid martial artist and enjoys applying the principles such as – lead by example –  in his professional career in order to inspire others to reach their full potential. Jon also moonlighted as a DJ for over 15 years, playing under the alias “JIAL-14” for various radio stations and nightclubs.

Tracey Chapple - Director, Marketer of the Year, BCAMA

Since moving to Vancouver from Toronto in 2000, Tracey has built an impressive resume working with advertising agencies such as Cossette, Rethink and RMG Connect. She has a wealth of marketing, advertising, digital and direct response experience and has been instrumental at developing brand strategies and creating award winning campaigns for major brands that include TELUS, Bell, Intrawest, Tourism British Columbia, and more.

In addition to her agency experience, Tracey’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for technology and start-ups motivated her to move client side where she led the creation of marketing strategies and branding for Local Garden, as well as spearheaded the set-up of an internal creative agency structure in her role as Director of Content and Creative Services at Hootsuite. She is currently the Marketing Director for Vancouver based tech start-up, Pendo, a one-stop online tool that helps landlords manage their rental properties.

Brittany Hobbs
Director, Thought Leadership Series

Brittany is a Cannes Lions award-winning branded customer experience expert and the Director of Research & Branding for PH1 Media. Prior to that she spent the last decade working at agencies like Grey, Elvis, Wasserman + Partners, The&Partnership. She has worked with startups and international brands alike on research programmes, branding + identity, and marketing strategies. Most notably with Honda, TELUS, United Nations, Government of Canada, BCLC, ICBC and Destination BC. She has worked with several startups and organizations to identify future market fit and opportunities, including new technologies and strategies.

Over the past two years she has led design thinking and innovation workshops around the world, including in Rio De Janeiro, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Miami. Customer-centricity and research are at the core of the methodology and workshops she has created to help businesses succeed in crowded marketplaces.

Mo Dhaliwal - Director, Vision Conference, BCAMA
Mo Dhaliwal
Director, Vision Conference

Mo began his journey at the University of the Fraser Valley studying business administration. Over the course of a decade, his long standing passion for technology, and his hunger for new experiences led him to Silicon Valley where he honed his talents in software development and Internet marketing. He returned to Canada with a newfound appreciation for the cultural diversity found at home, and set out on a personal mission to shatter barriers and encourage cross-cultural understanding. In 2012, Mo was recognized for his contributions by Business for the Arts as the national recipient of the Arnold Edinborough Award, and in 2013 was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

An ability to connect cultures and disrupt the status quo is reflected in Mo’s aptitude for connecting clients to their audiences and bringing new ideas to fruition.

As Director of Strategy at Skyrocket, Mo collaborates with creative minds across the country and continues to create moving experiences for clients and community.
