Christian Westin is a marketing and organizational consultant, and faculty member at the Langara School of Management. He helps companies and students alike develop strategic thinking, research, and leadership skills and is passionate about providing opportunities for the next generation.
Christian holds a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Adler University, focusing on organizational development, strategic change management, and leadership. He is a leading expert in the measures and impact of compassion in organizations, and how compassionate leadership impacts key results like performance, engagement and retention.
Christian is BCAMA’s longest serving board member, having previously held the positions of President, Vice President, Director of Sponsorship, and Sponsorship Manager. During his presidential year, he focused on enhancing BCAMA’s organizational culture, developing programming to serve marketers in a wider range of roles and career stages, and connecting marketing with related fields, including tech, finance, HR, management, and sales. He also co-founded BCAMA’s Level Up Mentorship Program, which pairs experienced senior leaders with middle managers wanting to break through to the Director/VP level. As Secretary, Christian oversees association compliance and governance, as well as membership & engagement, and sponsorship.
