The BCAMA Board of Directors is made up of a group of industry experts who volunteer their time to make sure the association runs smoothly. BCAMA board members bring dedication and expertise to our organization, and we are so grateful for their contributions to our community and culture.

We would like to encourage BCAMA members to show their appreciation to the board throughout the year. Our association is founded on the passion and perseverance of forward-thinking people and we hope our members can continue this tradition into the future.

Executive Team

Lex Perry
Lex Perry
President

Lex Perry is Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Research for Colliers in Canada. Colliers is a leading publicly listed commercial real estate services firm and a great Canadian success story with more than 15,000 employees in 64 countries.  Lex brings more than 20 years of B2B marketing experience from Australia, New Zealand and now Canada where he has built an award winning, multidisciplinary marketing and research team.

A curious life-long learner, Lex completed an EMBA at the Beedie School of Business (SFU) at the youthful age of 43 before joining the BCAMA Board of Directors in 2021.  Lex is passionate about people’s careers and believes the BCAMA plays a critical role in providing professional development and networking opportunities for marketing professionals. Lex is really excited to be a part of this organization and help accelerate its mission.

Outside of work, Lex enjoys being active, skiing, playing cricket and Australian rules football. He loves spending time in the garden with his five-year-old son sharing the wonders of nature, as well as the rare time he can hand him off to someone else and enjoy one of Vancouver’s great restaurants alone with his wife.

Angela is an astute financial professional with 20 years experience in results-driven roles. Angela’s passion for efficiency and dedication to accuracy enables her to look at any situation and assess it for optimal improvement. Angela is currently the Controller at HighStreet Accommodations, a regional corporate housing provider delivering furnished residential housing for people who have suddenly found themselves in need. Here Angela has proven herself to be an integral member of the executive team as a solutions-focused leader. Her varied experience in the accounting field includes positions at a fast-paced advertising agency, Inventa Sales and Marketing, to a charitable community service organization, St. John’s Ambulance, to the world of education at CEFA Junior Private Preschool. Angela earned her CPA designation in 2011 with an Honors Bachelor of Commerce. Angela’s top five strengths from the Strengths Finder are: Relator, Empathy, Achiever, Harmony and Consistency. She loves working in team environments maximizing everyone’s collective strengths to produce the best work possible. When not at work she is a dedicated wife, mother and friend to many.

Jess de Boer

Director, Board Operations

Jessica de Boer is a senior brand and creative specialist at Destination BC where she takes a leading role in the ongoing evolution of the Super, Natural British Columbia brand strategy and helps drive global demand for BC as a tourism destination.

Prior to Destination BC, Jess worked at a variety of communications agencies, most notably at global agency Edelman. As a Senior Director in Client Strategy, she undertook strategic communications planning and implementation for a variety of brands including Samsung, Telstra, Dubai Tourism, Audi and QuadReal.

Her 15-year career in B2C marketing and communications has seen her wear many hats; however, core to her strengths is a focus on relationship building, brand building, creative planning, and project management.

Jacqueline Simpson is a marketing director at Destination BC where she leads the Global Marketing Programs team responsible for integrated consumer marketing activities that inspire leisure travelers to choose British Columbia for their next vacation destination.  She is proud to be part of the team that won the BCAMA’s 2018 Marketer of the Year and 2016 Content Marketing awards. Her 28-year career includes experience in operations, guest services, sales and marketing, including 15 years in private industry (real estate management, packaging, tourism) before joining Destination BC in 2006. Her professional passions are developing marketing strategy and using data to uncover meaningful and actionable consumer insights. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science (1989) and a Master of Business Administration (2000), both from UBC. On a personal note, Jacqueline has a sea to sky spirit and loves beachcombing (endlessly) and hiking in the alpine, and she’s an avid traveler both within BC (#explorebc) and internationally.

Director, Digital Marketing

Helen is a paid media specialist at DIJGTAL. She’s also a lifelong learner and hiker currently living and working in Metro Vancouver. She has over 6+ years of marketing experience with specialties in digital advertising. Helen uses analytics to seek insights from data and is passionate about driving business growth through great campaigns. She partially fulfilled her curiosity through an MBA in marketing management and believes in giving back to the community. When she’s not working on campaigns or projects, you can find her exploring the outdoors like summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, which she did in 2017.

Director, Content & Brand

Carré Le Page, an Aussie with over 15 years of marketing experience in the travel sector, is the VP of Marketing for the Corporate Division of the Flight Centre Travel Group Canada. With four brands in his current portfolio, his primary focus is to create and nurture meaningful relationships with Canadian organizations who value a superior travel experience when on the road for business. Carré has a BA in Communications with two majors in Marketing and Film from Griffith University in Australia. With a passion for story-telling, his strength lies in building brands through engaging content to encourage emotional connections. Working for an organization like Flight Centre, you would expect him to have the travel bug. He’s currently sitting at 44 countries with his eyes set on hitting 50 in the next few years.

Christian Huot

Director, Social Media

Christian’s approach to problem-solving comes from an appreciation of those around him, a broad curiosity and from a view of our world through conversation, music and humour. From his start as a storyteller for local wilderness tours, his career spans experience in marketing and communications, PR, branding, and operations. No stranger to brand transformation, Christian has contributed to iconic rebrands such as the Vancouver Aquarium, Destination BC, and most recently Think Wood. A Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional, Christian holds a B.A. from the University of Victoria, a PMP and recently completed Coaching for Leaders. At the #BCAMA, his focus will be getting more people engaged with us on social.

Aikta is a marketing professional with 14 years of experience in diverse roles. She has a passion for continuous learning and growing by collaborating with other functions within organizations. Aikta is currently a brand manager with Rubicon Organics. She spent the last 15 years in Toronto, with 12 of them at Coca-Cola launching new beverage brands and products to the Canadian marketplace such as Vitaminwater, Smartwater, Gold Peak, Fairlife and Simply Almond. She loves the magic of building a brand and watching the special connection that consumers can have with them! Aikta is thrilled to have recently moved to Vancouver and to join this community to learn from her peers and to help grow this community. Moving out West has been a dream of hers as she loves hiking, running and being outdoors as much as possible!

Tammy Tsang (She/Her) is a woman and a Cantonese Canadian settler who lives and works on the unceded and stolen territories of the Coast Salish peoples.  She is the co-founder of AndHumanity, Inclusive Marketing Agency.  As a maverick business owner, she has started a few successful businesses and she holds a lifelong passion for diversity and inclusion. She is certified in Leadership & Inclusion. Her agencies have worked with various brands including crown corporations mainly in Turtle Island, also known as North America, but also globally.

Melody Lin is a Marketing & Business Operations Associate at Ascension Sciences and Social Media Manager at Social T. From software and biotechnology to recruitment and agriculture, Melody has worked with a diverse portfolio of organizations throughout her 5+ years in digital marketing and B2B/B2C sales. She creates meaningful, impactful stories through online mediums to amplify brands, support clients, and grow businesses.

A firm believer in giving back to the community, Melody also volunteers as a Committee Advisor with the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Leaders of Tomorrow Program, and Contributing Writer for IAB Canada. In her free time, Melody enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring restaurants around town.

Heleena Webber

Director, Membership & Engagement

Heleena is a Group Account Director at 123w, an independent idea and design collective with offices in Vancouver and Toronto. With over 15 years of agency experience, she’s worn a variety of hats in leadership and strategic roles, and has worked with clients such as Destination British Columbia, Real Canadian Superstore, General Motors, Western Canada Lottery, Nature Conservancy of Canada, Alberta Health Services, and more.

Heleena’s career started (and grew) in Calgary, where she was very involved in the local advertising and marketing community – serving on both the Ad Rodeo and Digital Alberta boards for a number of years. She loves connecting with people – and connecting people with one another, which is why she couldn’t resist joining the BCAMA as the Director of Membership & Engagement.

Outside of her day-to-day, Heleena loves to stay active with running, hiking or anything else that gets her outside, traveling internationally or around BC, and meeting new people.

Director, Mentorship Program (Past President)

Trina is the VP of Sales & Marketing for Accent Inns and Hotel Zed where she applies her creative thinking to most areas of the business. Before that, she spent six years at Tourism Victoria most recently as CMO. Here she won BCAMA’s Marketer of the Year award for outstanding growth of the Victoria brand. Trina also spent ten years at Inventa, an experiential advertising agency, working with clients including, Coca-Cola, Nintendo and Cadillac Fairview. Here she won Best Experiential Campaign in the World for her work with Cadillac Fairview. Prior to that, she began her career in journalism as an editor of community newspapers. Trina holds an MBA from Royal Roads University, diplomas in print journalism and broadcast journalism as well as a certificate in Strategic Negotiations from Harvard Business School. In her free time, Trina is committed to walking her Jack Russell with her husband pretty much constantly.

Inder Gill

Director, Vision Conference

Inder is a passionate marketer with 10+ years of experience in the XM and events field. She started her career off as a Brand Ambassador working with several agencies and diligently climbed up the corporate ladder at Inventa to ironically manage many of the accounts that she represented in the field. Her family of clients have included; Nintendo of Canada, BCLC, Recycle BC, Metro Vancouver, Subway, BC Lions, Cadillac Fairview, Emerald Health Therapeutics, Destination Victoria, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Granville Island Brewing and Swoop Airlines. In her spare time, Inder co-manages her family’s property management business (a great side hustle) while fitting in travelling, going on “adventures” and being a book worm. She’s excited for the opportunity to share her skill set with aspiring marketers through the BCAMA and leverage her experience to shake things up at this year’s Vision Conference.

Rosalind Genge

Director, Thought Leadership Series

Rosalind began her career in advertising/media as an Account Executive in Toronto after graduating the University of Toronto with a BSc in Psychology (specializing in Mass Communications).  A move to the West Coast and enrollment in graduate courses in Tourism Policy and Planning at Simon Fraser University lead to a diversion to the tourism and hospitality industry.  During her 13 years of tourism experience with a resort DMO and national hotel chains, she built strong relationships in the Canadian Tourism Community.  

Rosalind joined Hatch64 in 2003 where her career came full circle.  She has collaborated with Western Canadian based advertisers and their agencies to achieve their marketing goals and engage domestic and global audiences leveraging traditional consumer and trade travel media publications.  As the digital media landscape evolved, so did Rosalind’s skill set with programmatic media.

An avid traveller, Rosalind believes in travelling with a purpose.  Her domestic travels have been around discovering the jewels of BC (from Bella Bella to Cathedral Lakes) and international trips that centre around volunteer tourism, achieving physical challenges or learning about international cultures (of which the cornerstone is food!).

 In January 2021, Rosalind volunteered as Event Coordinator with the BCAMA.  Her role connected her with industry leaders, innovators and speakers deeply entrenched in the world of Digital Marketing and Marketing Technology.  She is very excited to continue her association with the BCAMA in the role of Director of Thought Leadership Speaker Series.

Briannah Fisher

Director, Senior Executive Program

Briannah is a full-stack marketer with 20 years of B2B and B2C marketing experience across the creative industries, education, retail, and eCommerce sectors in Australia, and now Canada’s technology sector.  She is an adaptable marketing strategist who builds community-led brands that thrive despite small budgets and dynamic operational environments.  Relentlessly curious and enthusiastic, Briannah is a curveball catcher who supports triple-bottom-line growth, empowers underserved communities to share their stories, and delivers community-shaping outcomes for brands that want to deliver impact. 

She earned a Bachelor of New Media Arts majoring in digital experience design and immersive imagery before completing a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration specializing in creativity, innovation & sustainability.  She relocated to North Vancouver in March 2020 from Byron Bay in Australia, where she now works as the Marketing Director for Moola Group, a Vancouver-based technology company committed to helping Canadians save money every day through a consumer mobile app and also a corporate gifting platform. 

She is excited to join the BCAMA in building impactful career pathways for mid-career and executive marketers into the C-suite and believes the BCAMA is uniquely placed to deliver expanded opportunities to marketers at any career stage through knowledge sharing, community building, and advocating for our industry. Briannah and her four children can be found hiking, biking, or skiing across the North Shore mountains.
