Over 350 of BC’s top marketing minds attended the event of the marketing calendar on Wednesday, October 21: BCAMA’s 45th annual Marketer of the Year gala, which took place at the Westin Bayshore. A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. took the spotlight hosting a farmer’s market-style reception complete with mini burgers and onion ring canapés for guests to enjoy.

The dinner menu, featuring A&W’s own Canadian grown beef, showcased the company’s focus on high-quality ingredients, making it clear why A&W has become the best burger in Canada in less than two years.
The excitement didn’t end with A&W’s win: the BCAMA recognized three other companies for their exceptional marketing efforts as part of the newly-added Marketing Excellence Awards. Thanks to an integrated marketing and communications campaign across digital, print and out of home, Theatre Under the Stars took home the title of Best Marketing Campaign that Engaged a Community. Nintendo’s Mario’s Canadian Karting Day was recognized in the Experiential Marketing Event category and COBS Bread was recognized for Marketing on a Shoestring for its grassroots COBS Cares campaign.
A wonderful night of celebration was had by all!
