The BCAMA Board of Directors is made up of a group of volunteers who take on portfolios above and beyond what they do in their own careers. With the fast pace and continuously changing market trends, careers and personal life are often demanding enough, without adding to the mix. The dedication, expertise and energy of this group of professionals allows for the programming and initiatives you enjoy as a BCAMA member and supporter. Rosa Marinelli
President
Rosa is a marketing professional with over ten years experience in marketing, sponsorships and communications. Presently, she is the Marketing Manager for Panago Pizza delivering on numerous marketing initiatives including product and pricing development, local promotions and community involvement management, and national promotional campaign management.
Prior to Panago, Rosa was with Tourism Vancouver. In her Corporate Sponsorships role she ensured the successful delivery of long-term strategic alliances with corporate partners through development and implementation of activation programs and integration of sponsors into organizational sales and marketing activities both trade and consumer targeted.
Previously, she was the Marketing Manager of Kester Grant College, sister college of the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Rosa’s international marketing experience over the past nine years extends to Asia and Europe, and includes work with organizations such as Vancity, Sar Transit, Overwaitea Foods, Visa International and many others. |

Lori Janson
Past President
Lori is a communications and marketing professional with more than 20 years experience in marketing, public relations and corporate communications in both the private and government sectors. She is currently Manager, Community Relations at TSI Terminal Systems Inc. and is principle of Lori Janson & Associates, a marketing and communications consulting firm with clients such as Holland America Line. Lori holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario as well as an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario).

Georgia Dahle
President Elect
Georgia has been Director of Marketer of the Year for the past four years. She is currently President Elect and has been a member of the BCAMA for the past five years. Georgia is Director, Corporate Communications for Mr. Lube Canada. Prior to joining Mr. Lube, she founded Method Event Planning Inc., a Vancouver event and strategic marketing company specializing in local, national and international marketing programs and events. Georgia has held numerous senior roles in the online advertising and marketing fields. She brings over 10 years of experience to event management and strategic marketing.
In addition to working in the event management and marketing fields, Georgia has worked extensively with various levels of the national and international governments. Her company focused on strategic coordination of large scale, multi-stakeholder conferences and events and corporate and incentive programs for organizations. She has worked extensively nationally and internationally, including the United States, Norway, the Netherlands and Italy. She has worked with various levels of municipal government and has experience in project management, strategic planning and operations analysing.
Georgia has guest lectured for the International Internet Marketing Association and at Capilano College on Strategic Marketing and Brand Development. |

Darrell Hadden
Vice President
Darrell formed Graphically Speaking 20 years ago. The company has evolved from the largest presentation graphics supplier in the Pacific Northwest to become the second largest, full service website development firm in Vancouver. Graphically Speaking employs a web development team of 36 specialists.
Darrell is a graduate of UBC’s Internet Marketing Program and is a Certified Internet Marketing Business Strategist.
Prior to Graphically Speaking, Darrell was a Product Manager for Cableshare, a Rogers Cable high technology division. At Cableshare, he helped develop the first North American home shopping trial with JC Penny and the first corporate intranet system with IBM. His division was also the first to integrate video, credit card readers, and touch screens with the microcomputer.
Earlier at Microtel and Microtel Pacific Research he was part of a team that created “Teleguide”, the first public access kiosk in North America, and developed computer graphics technology (NAPLPS) that industry experts believed would be the backbone of the Internet. |

Stephanie Hughes-White, MBA
Treasurer
Stephanie has over ten years of marketing, public relations and business development experience working within the financial, commercial real estate, and Architect/Engineering/Construction industries in North America. She has recently returned back home to Vancouver after having lived in Florida for the past nine years and is currently the Marketing Manager for Galdos Systems Inc. (a global geospatial technology company), and is responsible for the annual GeoWeb conference in Vancouver.
While living in Florida, Stephanie was active and served on the board of directors for the Tampa Chapter of The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and Leadership Hillsborough and was a member of the US Green Building Council and the American Marketing Association.
Stephanie has joined the BCAMA board as the Treasurer and has recently completed her MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University. |

Patricia Wu
Director, Speaker Series - Special Event Programming
After serving in the past as a BCAMA committee volunteer, Patricia will be joining the BCAMA Board of Directors for her first year as Director of Speaker Series – Special Event Programming.
Patricia brings over nine years of expertise in marketing communications with experience in both business-to-consumer and business-to-business industries. Presently, she is the Marketing Manager at The Pacific Newspaper Group, publisher of both The Province and The Vancouver Sun newspapers, and plays a leading role in the planning and development of all the marketing activities related to consumer sales and editorial for both products.
Prior to this, she has held positions as Marketing Manager for a HRA Investments, a vertically-integrated diamond manufacturer and Petcetera, Canada’s largest pet retailer. She holds a Marketing Communications Diploma from BCIT and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from U.B.C. |

Director of Speaker Series
Peter is the Principal of Smart, Savvy and Associates, a specialized marketing and communications recruitment firm www.smartsavvy.ca. Peter has been helping companies make smart decisions and build for success for over 20 years. Seasoned in market research, brand architecture, strategic planning and senior-level marketing, Peter knows what businesses need to meet their goals. He also knows who they need. A consultant for 8 years, Peter specialized in group moderating and team facilitation. Translation: he knows people. He can spot the star and sniff out the imposter. Peter has served clients in a variety of industries, lead sizable teams and launched divisions in Canada, US, Europe and Australia. Throughout his career Peter has worked with several key brands including Princess Cruises, Mercedes Canada, Earls Restaurants, Envision Financial, Mr. Lube, General Nutrition Centres (GNC), Loblaw Companies Ltd. and Rogers Broadcasting. |

Tricia Heywood
Director of Speaker Series
Tricia has been a Director with Leverage a sponsorship marketing company for three years and also consults her own clients on marketing communication, public relations and new business development. Prior to joining Leverage, she was Vice President and Regional Manager, BC with Weber Shandwick Worldwide, a global public relations firm. She has twelve years of international marketing experience in Asia, The UK and North America. As the Marketing Director for an alternative energy developer based in London, she was responsible for global marketing and market entry strategies across EMEA, working closely with Fortune 100 co-brand partners and international distributors. Tricia started her career in marketing research in Thailand and later in New York where she specialized in primary research for communications and public relations strategy.
Tricia holds a BA in Economics and Public Policy from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Arts in International Leadership from Simon Fraser University. |

Kerri Buschel
Director of Social Marketing & Brand
Kerri Buschel is returning to the board as Director of Social Marketing and Brand for the 2008/09 season. This is Kerri’s third year on the board, after having served two years as the Special Events Director with a portfolio that included bringing the Wine Marketing and Tasting event to the BCAMA calendar. Kerri has also worked as the Director of Communications for VISION.
Outside of the board, Kerri is the Manager of Community Outreach at BC Hydro - developing province wide community engagement strategies that allow BC Hydro’s outreach teams to educate the public about power, and the commitment to conserving energy. Prior to working with BC Hydro, Kerri spent nine years with Port Metro Vancouver in Community Relations and Investment. She also spear-heads a business in event and brand management working primarily with small and medium businesses on marketing initiatives and signature events. In her spare time, Kerri is enjoys further studies in communication design, playing soccer and having a glass of wine. |

Kellie Cottick
Director of Collegiate Relations
In her first year on the BCAMA Board of Directors, Kellie Cottick joins us as the Director of Collegiate Relations. Kellie is a marketing professional at TELUS Corp, (Consumer Solutions, TELUS TV) where she plays an intricate role in launching the new digital TELUS TV service in Western Canada.
Prior to joining TELUS, Kellie attended the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, where she studied marketing and competed for the UBC Varsity Rowing Team. Kellie has an active voice in her community, regularly volunteering her time in support of charitable organizations, including the YWCA and the BC Cancer Foundation. |

Tracy Houston
Director of SIGS (Special Interest Groups)
Strategy Magazine - www.strategymag.com. Tracy Houston has been working for Brunico Communications as the Western Canada Sales Representative for over 13 years. Tracy is responsible for sales, ecommerce, sponsorship and developing relationships in the media sectors for Strategy Magazine- Canada’s premier marketing trade publication, Media in Canada www.mediaincanada.com an electronic marketing daily newsletter and Playback Magazine www.playbackmag.com - Canada's leading broadcast and production trade publication. Tracy is currently a board member of Women in Communications. She has also served on the Board for Women in Film and Video Vancouver for two years and Women in Film Calgary, where she was the director of Mentorship and Career Café Programs. Prior to this Tracy was had her own company as an independent event's coordinator travelling to film and television trade markets around the world. Tracy’s goal is to volunteer with the BCAMA Board as committee chairperson for the Special Interest Group (SIG's) and sharing her experience, enthusiasm and dedication with the board and members. |

Eric Buchegger
Director of Membership
Eric Buchegger brings over seven years of experience in marketing strategy development and brand management to the BCAMA Board. Eric was on the Membership Committee for the past two years, and he helped organize the 2006 and 2007 VISION Conferences.
His career started at Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company, which decaffeinates coffee using the SWISS WATERŪ Process for brands worldwide including Starbucks, Nabob and Tim Hortons. In his role, Eric led the development and execution of various projects, including the current Swiss Water website and a unique non-traditional program designed to generate word-of-mouth. Eric was also involved in annual brand planning and campaign execution, as well as research initiatives, reporting directly to the President and CEO. Following Swiss Water, Eric moved on to Ethical Funds, Canada's leading brand of sustainable funds, where he created and implemented programs to increase brand awareness and educate consumers and investment professionals about socially responsible investing.
Recently, Eric has become keen on social network marketing and Web 2.0, and he is now an active participant in that community.
Eric graduated from SFU with a degree in Management and Systems Science, where he participated in the co-op education program, doing web development and design for BC Hydro and CIBC in Toronto. An avid traveller, Eric spent one year in Australia, highlighted by working for TSN at the Sydney Olympics. He currently runs a 500+ member dining out group called "Sip" as well as 150+ member ski and snowboard rideshare list.

Steve H. Kim
Director of Marketline
As President of Boilingpoint Communications, Steve brings over nine years of expertise in strategic marketing, communications and business development gained from his experience within the media, entertainment, and technology sectors. A strong proponent of rich media and interactive marketing, Steve thrives on helping organizations to integrate traditional and new media strategies that drive business results.
Prior to starting Boilingpoint, Steve was the Vice President IN CONTEXT Marketing and PR, where he was responsible for all aspects of the business operations. Previously, Steve was the Director of Marketing and Business Development of Chalk Media, a leading North American mobile software and content solutions company, where he played a key role in successfully navigating the business past the dot com crash and getting it listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. During this time, Steve oversaw Chalk’s re-branding strategy, implemented a national public relations program, launched numerous content distribution partnerships with major airlines and publications, and helped set the foundation for the company’s strong market position in the new media industry.
An avid volunteer, Steve is also the co-founder and chair of the C3 Society, a Korean-Canadian non-profit organization. |

Bruce Nunn Director of Vision
Bruce Nunn recently joined the BCAMA board as Director of the Vision Conference.
Mr. Nunn is Vice President of Marketing for Stockgroup Media Inc., developer of the leading financial portal Stockhouse.com. He leads strategic marketing, corporate communications and product management. Prior to joining Stockgroup in 2005, Mr. Nunn spent 7 years as Director of Marketing for Fincentric Corporation, a software provider to the financial services sector. Under Mr. Nunn’s marketing leadership, Fincentric grew from $7 million to $62 million in annual revenue over a 3-year period. Mr. Nunn has also held senior positions at Computer Associates, including product manager for financial products. Mr. Nunn has over 19 years of experience bringing software solutions to market and has been recognized with awards from the International Association of Business Communicators and Advertising Age Magazine. |

Heather Phillips
Director of Communications
Heather has over ten years marketing, communications, advertising and print production education and experience in the Lower Mainland. She is currently working at Rocky Mountaineer Vacations in a Production Supervisor role. Prior to joining Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, Heather worked at Rethink Advertising, where she managed the production of creative projects for clients such as A&W, BCAA, Coast Capital Savings, Mr. Lube and West Coast Air. She has also spent four and a half years working in the marketing department at Tourism Vancouver, where she planned and coordinated the design, production, printing and delivery of communication pieces for the organization, managed the brand, developed marketing campaigns, and provided marketing services and resources to internal staff and external customers. She holds a Marketing Management Diploma from BCIT and has experience working on a variety of events in the city including the HSBC Celebration of Light and the Dine Out Vancouver Restaurant promotion. Heather has served on the communications committee since 2006, and is currently in her second year as the BCAMA Director of Communications. |

Diana Pozza
Director of Vision Sponsorship
Diana joined the BCAMA Board of Directors in 2006 as Director of Sponsorship for our signature event, VISION.
Diana brings over 10 years of direct marketing experience to the BCAMA and is currently working in Marketing and Product Development at BC Hydro Power Smart, Commercial Marketing. Prior to working at BC Hydro, Diana held a Sales & Marketing Manager position at TBV Business Solutions, a one stop shop for direct mail, print and data services for clients such as BC Women's Hospital Foundation, UBC, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Waste Management. While at TBV Business Solutions, Diana introduced several new product lines, co-ordinated & implemented a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and rebranded the organization's business unit including a new corporate name and logo.
Prior to this, Diana held the position of Corporate Facilitator at Canada Post
Corporation from 2001-2004; and was in Commercial Sales at CPC from 1997-2001. During this time, she also taught a sales course at BCIT for 3.5 years. Diana developed the course curriculum for this new course (a 3-credit course in the Marketing program) and wrote the course work book. From 2000-2002, Diana was on the Simon Fraser University Alumni Board of Directors where she
developed and facilitated the "Orientation" program for new board members as well as participated on a variety of sub-committees. From 2002-2005 she was on the SFU Outstanding Alumni Committee and was involved with the review and selection process of alumni with past outstanding achievements.
Diana is from Vancouver and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, International Business and Human Resources. Previous to that, she completed the Accounting Management program at Douglas College. |
